Mountains in Life and on LandMar 05, 2019
This week I am thinking about the anniversary to be celebrated – on 4th March in 1998, I climbed Mt Aspiring in New Zealand with my beloved husband, Rob. It was a huge gift for both of us.
After achieving this, and recovering from the blizzard that followed leaving me with severe hypothermia, I realised that the mountains in our lives are not only physical. To survive that recovery journey took far more strength and courage than climbing Mt Aspiring!
Good to remember what it took to get through that long journey, and to publish the story that I wrote as I went through it.
Here’s to life; here’s to the mountains that it gifts to us to get through and so discover our strengths.
