When I Die: Lessons from the Death Zone

acceptance courage gratitude growing older growing strong love making a difference making choices Jun 06, 2014

Watching this video transported me back to my own experiences with death of my loved ones.

After my mother died, my father having died many years ago, I felt in limbo for a while. This beautifully thoughtful and reflective video gave me acceptance on the loss of my parents. As well, his thoughts gave me a deep commitment to honour the gifts that I have inherited from both of them.

Just for a start, I have my father’s business acumen and my mother’s creativity which for me emerges as a writer who can publish her own work.

I have a lot to do yet. I am grateful for this enormous privilege to use what I have inherited to make a difference in this world.
